In the 50th edition of the BSN Denver Colorado Buffaloes podcast Ryan Koenigsberg, Ted Chalfen and Jake Shapiro discuss all the latest news from the Colorado Buffaloes.

Leading off the show the guys gave their almost instant reactions to the news of Jim Leavitt leaving for Oregon. They discussed why it is good in a way but how much Leavitt leaving albeit predictable hurts.

The guys then got into a new segment called San Antoniwoah, you won’t want to miss it.

In the third segment, Shap caught up with First Team Pac-12 player Ryan Moeller and to finish the show the group caught up the listeners on men’s hoops.

As someone that has sadly spent some time in Amarillo, I’ll give you a quick Amarill-whoa fact:

One of the main attractions in Amarillo is a “public art gallery” of multiple spray-painted cars buried nose-first in the ground called “Cadillac Ranch”.

As far as the basketball team, I am trying to come up with a take to include on here, but I just can’t. I’ve got nothing to say about this team. They just don’t move the dial for me. And I’m a huge college basketball fan. I love it. It’s my favorite sport. I’m the guy that is watching some unimportant college basketball game on Sunday mornings while there’s huge NFL games on.

I’m thinking this is because any takes I can come up with are just the same ones I’ve had for years. Wesley Gordon needs to wake up. Josh Fortune is a turnover machine. Thomas Akyazili needs to be more in control. Tad Boyle doesn’t call timeouts soon enough when we’re slumping… yada yada yada.

It’s been fun to watch Derrick White step up and lead this team, and I’ve enjoyed the spurts of Xavier Johnson that we get at times, but this team is like a Dom Collier or Wes Gordon facial expression: lifeless. We need a Philip Lindsay on this team. Someone that DGAF and won’t back down from anyone. In past years it was Spencer or Ski or Josh or even Beau Gamble. But there’s way too much going through the motions this year.

Finally, I appreciate the call out at the end of the pod. Keep up the good work fellas. Even when the pods go off the rails, it still helps my mornings in the office go by faster.
