Very few people have burst onto The Denver Sports Media Scene like Nicki Jhabvala. She came to Denver from New York after stints at Sports Illustrated, Sports on Earth and The New York Times.
She quickly rose through the ranks at The Denver Post jumping from digital content writer/manager to working under Mike Klis and Troy Renck to backing Troy up as the No. 2 Broncos writer in 2015, as the team marched to Super Bowl 50.
With Renck’s departure to ABC 7, Jhabvala was the Post’s choice to take over the lead role. She is well suited to take over the gig, and realizes, now, more than ever, that Broncos fans will be consuming her work.
As she tells us here, at the end of the day, she wants to write and loves to tell a good story. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy as she shares “her” story and offers thoughts on the future of the newspaper industry, as well as advice for young journalists.
