Well, the Avs lost, but they could walk out of the Pepsi Center with chins up. I thought they played with great gallantry in the 3-2 loss to Nashville and, as I’ve said all along in this series, these guys were playing with house money all along.

But, yes, it was a quiet room afterward. Pro athletes don’t like to lose, of course, and they really thought they were going to send that game to overtime, at the very least. It didn’t happen, but it came damn close.
